Blue Fluted Full Lace Decor

The Blue Fluted pattern is part of Denmark's cultural heritage. To connoisseurs all over the world it is synonymous with Danish porcelain. Blue Fluted is Royal Copenhagen's very first porcelain dinner service decor and is to Danish underglaze decorated porcelain what the costly Flora Danica is to Danish overglaze decorated porcelain: a measure of the skill, tradition and craftsmanship at Royal Copenhagen.

The delicate and versatile pattern was adopted by the Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Manufactory when it was founded in 1775. The identification number printed on the bottom of each piece is therefore No. 1.

Originally only in the form of dessert plates. It was initially developed as a full service just over 100 years later, in 1888. In common with the Plain and Half Lace services, all lids are decorated with pretty snail shells, and all parts are assembled, painted and glazed by hand. In the openwork lace border of mussel decorations, each individual hollow is cut out by hand and represents the ultimate in elegant modeling.

The Blue Fluted pattern offers much more than a dinner service. It also includes a large selection of exciting accessories that will be enjoyed by anyone with an affinity for classic design.

All pieces are assembled, painted and glazed by hand.
