White Elements

Espresso Cup and Saucer 9 cl

While the White Elements 9 cl Espresso Cup and Saucer might seem simplistic at first glance, a closer look will reveal a relief of hand carved Royal Copenhagen design details and a shape that is something out of the ordinary. The charming little saucer is a perfect side dish for the biscuit that goes with your tea. In designing White Elements, Louise Campbell brought to life a charming and surprising combination of treasured design elements from Royal Copenhagen’s most classic collections. In a new take on tradition, the collection features the flutes of Blue Fluted Plain, the lace border from Blue Fluted Half Lace and the jagged rim from the iconic Flora Danica. The surprising use of classic elements on the white porcelain makes each piece contemporary and entirely its own.

The Three Waves
Proposed as The Royal Danish Porcelain Factory trademark in 1775 by Queen dowager Juliane Marie, every piece of Royal Copenhagen porcelain is instantly recognised by the three blue waves on its underside symbolising the Sound, the Great Belt and the Little Belt - the three main waterways of Denmark.
