Each year, the arrival of spring is reminiscent of the return of a dearly missed friend. Warm rays of light break through the window panes as a promise of a new season. With it comes budding branches in all colours of the rainbow and of course the Spring Collection from Royal Copenhagen. This year we bring flowers such as Red Clovers, Grape Hyacinths, Water Lilies and Agapanthus to the tables of spring. Or as we like to call them; tables in bloom.
Every year, Royal Copenhagen welcomes spring and the beginning of brighter days with new additions to the Spring Collection. White porcelain is adorned with colourful flowers, enlarged petals, and delicate buds, evoking thoughts of the warm and gentle weather of spring and the feeling of the first rays of sun after months of winter. Just like the flowers they are inspired by, the porcelain pieces from the Spring Collection are only available for a limited period, so they must be enjoyed while time allows it.
Royal Copenhagen's Spring Collection's bonbonnieres were originally created in the 1960s as butter dishes with handles on the sides. Since then, the bonbonniere has been crafted in a multitude of patterns, colors, and designs - including a rounded shape and adorned with the budding flowers of spring as part of the annual Spring Collection. The bonbonniere can be used for decorative storage, such as jewelry, making it both functional and a delight for the eye. In 2024, the Spring Collection's bonbonniere is decorated with a blue iris.
The Easter Egg is a classic symbol of Easter, spring, and gatherings in good company. Royal Copenhagen's annual Easter Eggs are adorned with flowers in warm colors, welcoming the sun and warmth in the most beautiful way, indicating the transition from winter. The eggs are available in two different sizes and the designs change every year. In 2024, the Easter eggs are decorated with cornflower, marigold, tulip, apple blossom, and pink lily.
