The relaunch of a handpainted treasure from the archives. In close collaboration with The Royal Danish Guards Association, Royal Copenhagen has relaunched the figurine of a guardsman from The Danish Royal Life Guard. The figurine is hand-painted in Royal Copenhagen’s famous underglaze technique, where both airbrush and normal brushes are used. No figures are therefore exactly the same and the initials of the individual painter are at the bottom of the figure. The figurine was originally created in 1956 by Svend Jespersen for Bing & Grøndahl and hasn’t been in production since 1987.
