Lis Sørensen (b. 1955) has left an undying mark on Danish music through decades with her iconic voice. Educated in musical teachings from Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium in Aarhus, Lis Sørensen has been singing her entire life. She entered the Danish pop-culture scene in 1980 with her rendition of Sebastian’s “Stille før storm”, which has later become a part of the Danish Cultural Ministry’s Cultural Canon. She has sold more than a million albums and performed thousands of concerts. Lis is also an ambassador for Save the Children Denmark.
