Elements
Elements, Royal Copenhagen’s first new complete tableware collection for the 21st century, presents a scintillating departure in porcelain style that is also deeply rooted in our design legacy.
Tradition and the future meet and are fused together in new ways, in this inspired collaboration between Danish designer Louise Campbell and Royal Copenhagen. Building on the modern trend of reappropriating the past into the present, exquisite riches were borrowed from Royal Copenhagen’s treasure chest. With a daring yet respectful touch, the old virtues have been transformed. Some are twisted inside out; some are disrupted, while others take an unexpected turn. The beautiful hand-painted chrysanthemums appear to take on a life of their own in each piece.
Elements is available in a variety of items; in both pure white or with hand-painted decoration in vivid colours unique to each piece. With the white as the starting point, you can subtly introduce a rainbow of different colours to the table, with a light-hearted and relaxed touch.
Unique details
At Royal Copenhagen, true beauty and spirit can be found in the details: in the undulating, jagged edging of Flora Danica, the classic fluting, the delicate lace accents and the luxurious flowered motif. With a witty yet respectful approach to Royal Copenhagen’s two-century-old legacy, design elements have been appropriated, twisted and brought up to date, to give the Elements collection a modern take on old values.
Use it your way
It is merely a sushi roll that looks beautiful on a square plate? The innovative nature of the Elements collection encourages your own brand of creativity in setting the table. With the small soy sauce bowl, asiette dish, mug and square plate, it would seem obvious to serve Japanese. But wouldn’t a classic French strawberry tart look just as delicious and inviting on a square dish?
All items of Elements are assembled, painted and glazed by hand.
