Blue Fluted Easter Eggs
Eggs are part of Easter, and Royal Copenhagen Blue Fluted Easter eggs are decorated in traditional cobalt blue. The decoration is based on the Blue Fluted pattern that celebrated its 230th anniversary in 2005. It was in fact in 1775 when the Royal Danish Porcelain Manufactory was founded – that the first Blue Fluted service was made.
The Easter eggs come in four designs, each decorated with a section of the old Blue Fluted pattern. You can see the stylised chrysanthemum surrounded by small leaves on one egg, the grass with the chrysanthemum in the middle on another and a meandering sprig of clover and leaves on the third, while the fourth egg is decorated with a palm design.
