Christmas is royal in every way. King Christian IX, who ascended to the throne in 1863, was the first to celebrate a Christmas like those we know; with a sumptuous feast, presents for the family and decorations on the tree.

When the Royal Danish Porcelain Manufactory created the first products with Christmas motifs more than 150 years ago, a new tradition was also created. Year after year Royal Copenhagen has completed the festive season with enthralling Christmas decorations for the tree and beautiful service for the table. Naturally this year is no exception.

With inspiration from the gospel for Christmas Day, Royal Copenhagen has created an angel that enchants and preaches Christmas joy for both adults and children.
