Breakage Warranty Terms & Conditions

Most of Royal Copenhagen’s A-grade porcelain products are covered by our Breakage Warranty (see exceptions below). In the event of breakage, we offer a free replacement under the following conditions:

The Breakage Warranty does not cover Flora Danica, Purpur Fluted Full Lace with Gold, Numbered Limited Editions, Annual Collections from 2024 and earlier, Advent Calendars and “Hemmelig Mandelgave”, Special Art Collaborations, B-grade porcelain, products made from materials other than porcelain, or products listed here: [See the complete list of excluded products and collections

You may make use of our Breakage Warranty if you are a private individual residing in one of the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, France, Finland, Germany, Greece, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

It is a requirement that the porcelain was purchased either from one of our Royal Copenhagen shops, via www.royalcopenhagen.com, or from an authorised Royal Copenhagen retailer [See the complete list of certified retailers]. Please note that items purchased at Royal Copenhagen Outlet stores are not covered by Breakage Warranty.

You must register your purchase on www.royalcopenhagen.com no later than six months after the date of purchase, and you must upload a receipt clearly showing the purchase of the product covered by the Breakage Warranty. You may also register products purchased in Royal Copenhagen shops or from authorised retailers abroad.

If you are a member of Royal Copenhagen’s Collectors’ Club and have registered the product via your membership account, the Breakage Warranty is valid for three years from the date of purchase. If you are not a member and register the product as a guest, the Breakage Warranty is valid for two years from the date of purchase.

The Breakage Warranty may only be used once per registered product and only for the number of products stated on the registered receipt. Replacement products provided under the warranty are not covered by a new Breakage Warranty and therefore do not need to be registered.

The Breakage Warranty entitles you only to a replacement of the porcelain and does not entitle you to payment or a refund. If a registered product is no longer available at the time of replacement, Royal Copenhagen may, at its discretion, replace it with a product considered to be substantially equivalent. The delivery time for replacement products will be determined once the warranty claim has been approved.

Purchases for business or commercial use are not covered by the warranty, and businesses or commercial entities are therefore not eligible to use the warranty.

Royal Copenhagen may, without prior notice and at its discretion, amend or terminate the Breakage Warranty at any time. Any changes or termination will only apply to purchases made after the date of the change. All purchases made and correctly registered before the date of the change will continue to be covered by the original terms for the full warranty period from the date of purchase.

Royal Copenhagen reserves the right to determine whether the Breakage Warranty is being misused or whether the terms have been violated. Misuse of the Breakage Warranty will result in exclusion from its use.

This Breakage Warranty is provided by the manufacturer as a supplement to any guarantees given by the retailer and does not limit or replace your statutory rights under applicable law.
