The creation of blomst is inspired by Royal Copenhagen’s Pattern no. 2, Blue Flower, from 1778. Soft, lifelike depictions of the Danish flora decorate the edged shapes of the porcelain. A meeting between past and present. Every piece is painted with its own flower tale: On this vase, the flower buds of a Morning Glory are bursting and blooming. The vase narrows at the opening – making room for a single, handpicked flower. The best designs often appear effortless, uncomplicated and completely natural. blomst is an example of just that, and for the eye-catching collection, much consideration has been given to the particular combination of form, design and placement of the blue brushstrokes to achieve a contemporary and simplistic expression. Every piece in the collection is adorned with its own unique, hand painted flower.
